ROYAL PALM BEACH, Fla. (April 15, 2021) – The African American Racers Association announced today that they will be partnering with the Black Automotive Enthusiasts (BAE). BAE is centered on creating a space for black automotive enthusiasts of all kinds to be expressive about their passion without being subjected to racism and misrepresentation.
Started via social media, BAE, like AARA, is all about promoting, inspiring, and celebrating black involvement in the automotive and motorsports community. They seek to create a platform for growth, for networking, a platform to bring people together and create a new sense of empowerment.
“History, legacy, progress. Those are the words that come to mind when I think about AARA. African American Racers Association is and will continue to be a leader in promoting OUR history in the automotive world. Black Automotive Enthusiasts (BAE) and AARA is a match made in motorsports heaven,” said Trei Ceril, CO-Founder of BAE. “I couldn’t be prouder. Never in my wildest dreams did I think I’d have an opportunity to be on the front lines for such an important community. ‘We all we got.’”
“Unity in numbers and access to opportunities are important. Working with the Black Automotive Enthusiast will provide their members access to events and opportunities the AARA provides. We have a lot of exciting ventures coming up and it’s exciting to stand side by side with BAE and illustrate a true community and unity, especially at motorsports events,” added Chris Harris, Co-Founder of AARA. “This is important because the idea that motorsports isn’t for blacks, or is something blacks don’t participate in, needs to be erased.”
The AARA and BAE will collaborate on a number of events, initiatives and campaigns as they strive to create a united and inclusive motorsports community.
